Luca Viișoreanu and the Real Racing team ready for a new season in F4

For Luca Viișoreanu and the Romanian Real Racing team, the 2025 F4 season starts this weekend on the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Just like last year, the Romanian driver will compete in 3 different Formula 4 regional championships.

Romanian Luca Viișoreanu, 16 years old, will compete this season with the Romanian Real Racing team in the most contested Formula 4 competitions in Europe. The Romanian driver will do a full season in Formula 4 Italy and Euro 4 and will also compete in several rounds of the Formula 4 CEZ (Central European Zone).

The first race of 2025 is scheduled for this very weekend on the Red Bull Ring in Austria, and counts as the first round of Formula 4 CEZ. Luca Viișoreanu and the Real Racing raced on the Austrian circuit also last season, with the Romanian driver managing to finish in the points in all three races of.

“I really like the Austrian circuit and I’m glad that we’ll start the season with this race, especially since last year I achieved some of the best results of my career here. Now it’s primarily a preparation round because I want to see where we are in terms of performance level after the pre-season tests. It’s a long and very important season for me,” said Luca Viișoreanu, ahead of the first race weekend of 2025.

Like last year, Luca Viișoreanu and the Real Racing team will focus on participating in Formula 4 Italy and Euro 4. This year, the Italian competition calendar has 7 rounds, scheduled on the circuits of Misano, Vallelunga, Monza, Mugello, Imola and Barcelona, ​​in Spain, and in the Euro 4 championship there are three stages on the circuits of Le Castellet (France), Mugello and Monza, in Italy.

“The pre-season tests were very balanced and it is clear that the new season will be a very competitive one. There are many valuable drivers with a similar level of performance, and this motivates me even more to give my best. 2025 is a very important year for me in which I want to achieve the best possible results, which will help me continue my career and maybe take the step towards Formula 3 next season”, continued Luca Viișoreanu.

Before the start of the season, three test sessions were scheduled on the circuits of Misano, Le Castellet and Mugello, and the Real Racing team tested various settings and configurations of the car for the races that follow on the calendar.

“The tests so far have been very good and we have achieved the results we expected. My progress and that of the entire team compared to last year was clearly visible. I really liked how the car behaves in different conditions and now we are ready for the upcoming season”, Luca Viișoreanu added.

This weekend, the first outing on the circuit for Luca Viișoreanu and the Real Racing team will be at the collective test sessions and free practice scheduled for Friday, April 11, and then the qualifications that will take place on Saturday, April 12, from 11:10 local time (12:10 Romanian time).

The first race of this stage is also scheduled for Saturday at 16:00 (17:00 Romanian time), and the other two races will take place on Sunday, April 13, from 09:30 (10:30 Romanian time) and 13:45 (14:45 Romanian time).

“I’m looking forward to the first race of this season. 2024 was our first year in Formula 4 and it was a season in which we tried to gather as much information as possible to help us progress in a very competitive championship. We are certainly much better prepared and after the tests so far we have a good starting point for what’s to come. I think we can consistently collect points and even get involved in the fight for podium places,” said Constantin Răileanu, Real Racing team manager.
